Theatre Yes joins forces with Greenpeace Edmonton and the Heath Services Association of Alberta to create GRAVITY a political arts cabaret that seeks to speak to the gravity of the situation we currently find ourselves in. From the Muslim ban, the push for pipelines, women’s rights, disability access, gender identity, consumption, and all that is Trump: GRAVITY explores it. Join us for a celebration of art, politics, and the place where the two meet as some of Edmonton’s finest theatre, music, dance, spoken word, and visual artists join together for a raucous evening that will amaze, provoke, and inspire. Get engaged in the political discussion in the best way possible at this not to be missed, artist extravaganza. Expect an irreverent, funny, and provoking evening of Edmonton talent taking on the hot issues of the day.
The evening will feature: Folk Lordz, The Edmonton Slam Poetry Team, Matt Alden, The Sphinxes, Doctor Professor Lavernius Cumquat (Dustin Allen), Ahmed Knowmadic, Adam Bentley, Tiffany Ayalik, Danielle Peers, Dr Oxide, Mile Zero Dance, Nasra Adem, Rapid Fire Theatre, Kate Stashko, Nicole Schafenaker, Julie Ferguson, Savanna Harvey, Brooke Leifso, Grindstone Theatre, Mitchmatic, Violette Coquette and more…
